The CSD Grant Projects

The Promotion of Civil Society Dialogue between EU and Turkey Project contains 4 different grant scheme programmes with a total budget 19,3 M EUR . The four schemes and their respective budgets are as follows:

• Towns and Municipalities (5 M EUR)
• Professional Organizations (3 M EUR)
• Universities (9,3 M EUR)
• Youth Initiatives for Dialogue (2 M EUR)

The specific objectives of the Grant Schemes are to promote mutually beneficial and sustainable relationship, to establish and strengthen long-term sustainable cooperation and promotion of dialogue between professional organisations in Turkey and  in EU Member States and candidate countries and to encourage exchange of knowledge and best practices on planning and implementation of EU policies.

The Calls for Proposals for these schemes closed in 2007, with the received applications evaluated early in 2008.  The result of the assessment process was that 119 applicants were awarded with grants.  The guidelines for each of the 4 schemes can be found in the e-library of the CSD web site.
